Cabo San Lucas

While Riley made the trifecta of grandparents, Rhett and I went to Cabo San Lucas last week. We had a great time relaxing by the pool, going on a zip line, snorkeling, and swimming with the dolphins. The snorkeling was so good! We felt like we were in the middle of schools of fish. We went on a sunset cruise one night and saw "the arch."
On our way to DFW we stopped in Dublin, TX home of Dr. Pepper! That was a lot of fun.

Riley vs. The Marker

San Antonio

We went to San Antonio last weekend with our good friends Carl and Jenelle and their little girl Kamryn. We went to Sea World and the girls had a blast. We saw Shamu, dolphins, penguins, the aquarium, sharks, etc. We went to the water park in the afternoon to cool off. We lasted all day without a nap! Riley was so excited to see Shamu. She kept saying,"hold you Shamu" and "come here buddy".
The next day she woke up already a little cranky, but we went to the zoo anyways. We didn't last as long but managed to squeeze in the monkeys, lions, zebras, giraffes, hippos, elephants and more.Since Riley loves the movie Madagascar she got a big kick out of the lion, zebra, giraffe and hippo. We stayed downtown at the Riverwalk and went for a ride on the boats. We had a great time!

Potty Training

I thought I should include a post on potty training since this has consumed our lives for the last month. Riley is doing very good now. She frequently tells us when she needs to go potty beforehand. We just remind her every once and a while. We are having a little trouble with #2, probably making it about half the time. I thought these pictures were hilarious with her sitting on the potty with her cowboy boots on.

4th of July

After Tori's wedding we went back to Lubbock for the 4th. After a good nap for us all on Saturday we went to Lubbock Country Club for a fireworks display. They had a buffet line with lots of yummy foods- hamburgers, hot dogs, ribs, watermelon- everything 4th of July. Then they had a whole area of the golf course roped off for the kids to play. There were bouncy houses, train rides, and a fire truck. Riley loved the train ride. She could have done that over and over all night long. She stayed up for the fireworks. After each one went up in the air she asked, "What's that noise?" (which sounds like wuz at noise) She said this over and over for half of the show. Then she switched to saying, "Oh no! They fall down!" But she had a great time and wasn't scared at all.

Tori's Wedding

My cousin Tori got married July 3rd in Floydada, TX. It was a great small town wedding. We all stayed in a small (not so nice) motel, but it was fun to hang out with family. Tori was beautiful, and we had so much fun. I was in the house party.
